Privacy policy
This policy explains how Chrisolution Enterprise (PTY) LTD (registration 2019/274307/07) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use the Chrisolution Enterprise app (Android and iPhone) or our online registration and service request forms, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
Chrisolution Enterprise (PTY) LTD, NMB iHub, 248 Walmer Blvd, South End, Gqeberha, 6045, South Africa. We are the responsible party for your information. Our Information Officer is our director, Pumelelo Christopher Sobinca, who you can reach at info@chrisolution.co.za or 072 900 0321.
We are an independent business services company. We are not CIPC, SARS, the Department of Social Development or any other government body, and our app is not a government app. We file applications on your behalf, with your consent, for a service fee.
What we collect
- When you register a company, co-operative or NPO: the names, ID or passport numbers, certified ID copies, cellphone numbers, email addresses and residential addresses of each director, member or office bearer; marital status and spouse details where CIPC needs them; proposed names, business activity and registered address; and any other documents you upload, such as founding meeting minutes.
- When you request a compliance service or book a consultation: your name, cellphone number, email address, company name and registration number, your notes, your preferred appointment date and time, and any documents you choose to upload.
- When you pay: the proof of payment you upload. We do not collect or store card or bank login details.
- When you track an application: your reference number and email address, to look up your status.
The app does not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, does not ask for your location or contacts, and does not need an account. It only uses the files and photos you choose to upload: on iPhone and Android the app asks your permission before it opens your camera or photo library, and only when you tap to attach a document.
Why we use it
We use your information only to provide the service you asked for: to prepare and file your registration or compliance application, to contact you about it, to match your payment, to show you its status, and to keep the records the law requires. We process it with your consent and to carry out our agreement with you.
Who we share it with
- The authorities your application goes to, such as CIPC, SARS, the Department of Social Development (NPO Directorate), National Treasury's Central Supplier Database, CIDB, the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality supplier database, B-BBEE commissioners, and a bank if you ask us to open a business bank account.
- Google, who host our secure records (Google Workspace: Sheets, Drive and Gmail). Their servers may be outside South Africa; Google is bound by data protection terms that give protection comparable to POPIA.
We never sell your information or use it for anyone else's marketing.
How we protect it and how long we keep it
Information from the app and forms is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our private Google account. Your documents are kept in a private folder that is not shared publicly, and only our team can open it. We keep application records for up to five years after we finish your work, as needed for company and tax records, and then delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner and the law allows it.
On your phone, the app only saves the reference numbers and email address of your own applications, so you can check their status again. You can remove them in the app under Help, or by uninstalling the app.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw your consent, or object to how we use it. Email info@chrisolution.co.za with the subject "POPIA request" and your reference number. We reply within 30 days. Withdrawing consent may mean we cannot finish an application that is in progress.
If you are not happy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforeg.org.za.
Children
Our services are for adults who own or run organisations. We do not knowingly collect information from children, except where a law requires details of a minor connected to an application, and then only with a parent's or guardian's consent.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
